Guy

Meet Guy, a small, but handsome fellow who we suspect is between 12 to 15 years of age. Guy is looking for his forever home. Guy is a quiet cat who can be found either hanging out by himself or laying close to a foster sibling. He loves to sleep in the condo cage, which he has access to come and go at his leisure. We suspect he feels safer in that space. Guy came into our care with his brother GG, who he was bonded with. However, GG developed a fatal condition and passed away in the summer of 2021. Since then, Guy seems a bit lost but does seem to enjoy his soft food. Guy does not appear to be very active when his foster human is around. He doesn’t seem to mind being brushed and petted and will even start to purr at times and pushed into the pets. He can sometimes be grumpy and hiss at his foster mom when he has had enough attention or when she startles him, but he never does more than hiss at her. He will hiss and get up and walk or run away from her. He doesn’t like the vacuum. We suspect he would do fine in a home with or without another cat as he doesn’t seem to actively seek out the company of his foster siblings since the passing of GG. However, if you are interested in adopting two, consider adopting Guy with one or more of his foster siblings: Cybil, Remington, Alice, Cindy Lu, King James, Lance and Ryland, King George and King Arthur, Zeally, Army, Sonja, Sir Beauregard. As he can be timid at times, he needs a quiet home without young children (children under the age of 14 years). We are not sure how he would react to a dog or dogs as we do not know his experience with dogs, and he had not been exposed to dogs while in CARMA’s care. Please consider adopting this extra special Guy into your loving home. He’s been through a lot in life and is just looking for a patient, loving family that will respect his boundaries and help him experience all the joys of a forever home.
