My Story

Granger found his best chance at a good future when he visited our trap just over 8 weeks ago. We don't typically encourage putting your hands near a trapped kitty, but Granger was different. Fast forward. . .This boy has been living with the most patient fosters that have helped him just blossom. He's very social and talkative, friendly with people and respectful of dogs. He sort of tolerates a passive cat, but he will quickly scuffle with any curious or forward cats. He is a lap sitter and a snuggler and likes to be where you're at. Granger has had a hard life. It's obvious that at one point someone cared enough to socialize him but didn't care enough to neuter him. Granger is suspected to be 5+ years old, full of playful curiosity, snuggles, and a FIV+ survivor. Being FIV+ decreases the immune system, making any healing more compromised. This was evident during his initial treatments for the gash wounds and abscesses he encountered while living on the streets, and then had them cleaned out for infection. Due to major dental issues, he has also had all 4 canines removed. FIV+ is not a life sentence. In fact, many cats with FIV can live a long and wonderful life full of many normal feline adventures! Granger knows his name and comes when he's called. He has scarring from previous trauma that may never regrow hair. He looks rough, but he's a total sweetheart. Eager to love and ready for his forever home. He would do amazing in a single kitty home, or with another kind kitty with proper introductions and patience. He's been around other adult cats, dogs and older kids. If you think you have the purrrfect home to offer this sweet boy his continued second chance at life, please apply today. All FCA kitties are started on vaccines, microchipped, fixed, and de-wormed. We adopt to indoor homes only and our application process can take 48 to 72 hours.
