My Story

** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay neuter/surgery** Check out this cute little guy! This is the gregarious, Gordon! This wonderful boy and his brothers were found as tiny stray kittens and brought to the shelter so that they could find their loving forever homes. This terrific trio have an estimated birthdate of 5/12/24 , so they're just 9 weeks old. These little cuties have been lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home, which is where they currently reside. Gordon's foster mom reports that he's the feistiest of the crew and his favorite thing in the world is to wrestle with his brothers, Grover and Mumford. He can't get enough playtime and he absolutely loves toys of all shapes and sizes. If he can lift it, he's going to carry it all over and claim it as his own. He also loves to cuddle up with his people, so he's a well rounded guy who knows how to have fun and relax when the time feels right! But if he's asleep and he hears fun happening, he is wide awake and in the thick of things! This sweet boy would love to be adopted with a brother, a non-related kitty companion (we have lots!), or at least have a feline friend in the home. Kittens do SO MUCH better in pairs and when they have a friend. Single Kitten Syndrome is a real thing! We want our furbabies and our adopters to have long term success and a house full of happy people and kitties! Would you like to meet this cutie patootie and maybe a sibling or other kitten too? If so, please fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet. Remember that this crew is in a foster home, so a meeting must be scheduled. West Jefferson, Ohio #hsmcohio Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card. Please go to our website, www.hsmcohio.org to fill out an application.
