My Story

We think Googles was born in June 2023. She came from a known, managed, feral cat colony. She is the gentlest soul and has silky smooth, solid gray fur. That said, she needs a very special home. She would probably do best in a home with several other cats, especially confident cats. Confident cats seem to bolster her confidence, as she takes cues from other cats’ body language. She has gotten along very well with her confident/ dominant room mate Earl and would be happy to be adopted with him - or another kitty friend. She would probably also do extremely well in a very quiet household with one (ideally sedentary) person. She is still very flighty when the foster parent walks, although there has been a small improvement in this. She prefers to come up to you when you were sitting or lying down, for a few pets. She is always hoping to get a treat after she gets pets. Occasionally, she will go under the bedsheet and lay down. She likes heavy, noisy, small balls to play with when she’s on her own, and sometimes pom-poms. She loves to play interactive toys, such as: strings, cat dancer, and wand toys. When she first arrives, an extra long wand toy would be best, as hand movements near her will be startling until she develops a lot of trust. She is definitely a trainable cat. She has learned high-five and sit pretty. (For treats, of course!) She is an extremely quiet cat - her Foster doesn’t think she has heard her meow yet, but she has heard her purr ever so quietly. She enjoys spending most of the day under the sofa, or in the top of a 5‘foot cat tree looking out the window. Can you give this gentle and submissive, one year-old lady a home? NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee. NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home. NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada.
