Gomez

Gomez is looking for someone who is patient and kind and who is willing to continue teaching him how to trust. He was born outside and brought in with two scared siblings and their mom. He and his brother, Gordon, are still at our shelter after nearly two years. Gomez is the shyest of all our resident cats.. He has been around humans for most of his life, but he's still scared. He will eat treats from those he trusts most but can be prickly if he feels cornered. We don't believe he'd do well living outdoors - he's been inside for too long. We're hoping that, with his early exposure to people, he just needs more dedicated time in the presence of a cat-savvy adopter or even foster. Another cat-friendly resident cat would be preferred - he does like other cats and seems to gain confidence in their presence. All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated.
