Sadly, every year the shelter gets in “hoarder cats.” The cats have never known a clean, loving home. Many of these cats are unsocialized and scared. The first hoarder situation of this year is the named the “G” group. We pick a letter to know which hoarder they have come from. Lucky for this group, the owner got sick and had to give up the cats. Many were kept in single cages or crates in a dark basement. The lucky ones, lived upstairs in rooms.
Goldie was fortunate enough to be upstairs in the home. She was kept in a bedroom with two other cats. Her left eye ruptured at some point in her life.
Goldie is 15 Years old and in good health for her age. She enjoys baby talk and pets.
If you adopt one of these cats, you are actually RESCUING a cat. They need your help! Please remember they will need a lot of time to adjust. A quiet home is best, start them in a small room, then slowly let them explore the home in their comfort time. They can be adopted as singles or pairs, and they can live with other cats. They have never been with dogs, kids or let outside.
The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
