Glenda - BARN CAT EXTRAORDINAIRE

A few months ago, Glenda left Cat NAPS with nothing but the fur on her back and a dream. . .a dream to be the best barn cat in the area. But now she’s back. What happened? Where did she go wrong? Well, to understand her failure, we must dive a little deeper. Glenda was sent to a lovely barn owned by lovely people. She was hired for rodent control, and of course to be a beautiful face around the barn. This barn is heated in the winter along with a heated tack room & abundant dinners served every day. This was such a lovely arrangement for a cat who doesn’t have the manners to be a house pet. And if we’re going to be truthful, Glenda’s failure came from her success. She was so good at patrolling the barn for varmints that she kept the other cats away, too! Despite the best efforts of the barn owners to keep Glenda away from the other cats and to give her a chance, it just didn’t work out. Glenda saw the barn as her own, and no mouse, rat, or other cat would be safe against her. So, for the good of the many, Glenda is back in her foster home. We are searching for a new arrangement for her. A garage or warehouse, perhaps a barn, somewhere where you may not want other cats or animals. Glenda is the one and only cat wherever she goes. Glenda’s litterbox manners are great, it’s just that she does not like other cats. If you live in an old farmhouse & have unwanted vermin stopping in, Glenda would be happy to make certain they are not welcome & won’t be returning. She prefers to exist within her own little bubble, so you wouldn’t have to interact with her. It's not gonna be easy to find the right solution for Glenda, but we will be giving it our best!
