Gertie (bonded with Mabel) Est. DOB 4/2023 Adoption fee: $400.00 for the pair Gertie and Mabel are the BEST pair of cats!! They came to LapCats at only a few days old after a homeowner had collected 23(!!!) kittens into buckets of his front yard in an effort to “help” one of our volunteers. These girls have grown up in foster care through no fault of their own and are approximately a year old now. Gertie is a very confident, friendly, and sweet young cat! She is curious about new things, likes to explore, and LOVES to play—this gal won’t say no to a string toy. Gertie is an affectionate cat who will sleep in bed with you—she is often found sleeping with her belly up and all her adorable spots on display. She likes to crawl under the covers at night. Gertie is dog friendly! Her foster home has cats and dogs of all sizes—she is fearless and navigates confidentially around dogs. She loves treats and wet food daily. Gertie and Mabel are often found snuggled up sleeping together and they LOVE to play & chase each other around the house. They are wonderful girls with an endless amount of love and snuggles—true lap cats! The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!
