My Story

Meet George, a lively and affectionate 4-year-old shorthaired grey tabby cat with a heart as big as his playful spirit. George is a social butterfly who thrives in the company of other feline friends(that are also FIV+), eagerly engaging in playful antics and exhilarating games of chase. His boundless energy knows no bounds, and he'll make a toy out of anything he can get his paws on. However, despite his love for playtime, George is also a big couch potato at heart, reveling in the comfort of soft blankets and cozy corners. With his charming personality and playful nature, George is sure to bring endless joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to welcome him, spreading warmth and happiness wherever he goes. George has FIV, which means he has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in adopting or meeting him, fill out an application at apl-shelter.org or come visit in-person at the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. The APL is open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
