Gemma

The first step in our process is for this pre-adoption application to be filled out https://www.pause4pawsmn.org/adopt-a-pet Gemma is a beautiful tortoiseshell young adult cat with unique coloring and big, bright yellow eyes. She is a petite, 8-pound girl. Gemma is very playful! She likes to bat wand toys, chase ball toys, and play with/wrestle her foster siblings. Gemma would appreciate a forever home with a playful kitty sibling to provide entertainment and an outlet for her energy. Gemma grew up on the streets, so she is learning how to be a domestic, indoor kitty by observing and imitating the behavior of other cats in her foster home. Gemma is very smart and curious—she took to an automatic litter box immediately and learned to use a microchip feeder within 2 days. Gemma has a great appetite and is currently eating canned wet food in her foster home. She enjoys treats, but particularly LOVES catnip. Gemma has perfect litterbox manners. She will need a high-sided box in her forever home as she likes to dig and kick in the litter. Gemma can be timid when initially meeting someone new, but she warms up quickly. She will rub on your legs to ask for pets and is quickly warming up to being held. Gemma does not growl, hiss, or bite in her foster home. If she’s overstimulated or overwhelmed, she’ll retreat to her bedroom. Gemma really enjoys perching in a sunny window to watch the birds and squirrels outside. She uses the scratching posts in her foster home. Gemma sleeps through the night and is starting to entertain the idea of sleeping on the bed with her foster humans.
