Gecko

Gecko is a handsome adult tabby with a vibrant orange short-haired coat and a unique story to share. He came to us from a shelter, one of three feral working cats who guarded the Sanctuary in Atwater Village. Over time, the caregivers were able to coax them all inside, but Gecko was the last to hang up his outdoor working badge and start a new career. You may have seen Mr. Gecko on Instagram, where he takes time to pose for the camera despite his dedicated transition to indoor biscuit maker. Although he's still quite nervous and somewhat feral, Gecko is slowly starting to explore at the Sanctuary instead of hide, showing signs he could definitely get used to this indoor thing. While Gecko may be wary of people at first, with time and patience in his own home, we think he'll come more out of his shell. He needs an experienced cat owner who understands his background and is patient and willing to put in the effort to earn his trust.
