Hi, my name is Gareth, and I must say, love is grand!! Especially when you are the center of the universe - but now, life has changed for me. We just recently combined families and I had a hard time adjusting to sharing my person with his partner and another cat. My human dad knows I am not happy and what is best for me is to be an only cat. So, about me - I am about 6 years old. I prefer to be in a quiet home. Patience would be a real plus when working to win me over. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT a difficult cat, angry or mean - I am just a bit slow to warm up to folks. I am very food motivated, so that's definitely a great way for us to bond. Once comfortable, I can become a real love bug! I used to have a dog roommate - he wasn't my favorite but we got along okay. I do have some dietary issues (IBD) but that can easily be managed with my prescription diet and I take a daily medication that is put into my wet food. The food is about $40/mo and the meds about $16/mo - not that much more than other good quality foods. My human dad said that he would be willing to help you out with that for a couple of months while we are in transition. I have had an indoor life which suits me fine, and also have had a nice catio and have enjoyed hanging out there to watch the birds and squirrels. I am current on my vaccines and microchipped and very good with the litterbox. You might see me on a variety of rescue sites, not a problem!! You will be talking directly with my human dad, to learn all about my wonderfulness!!
