Gandolf is a sweet, loving, very easy going boy. He is very shy and needs the love, attention and patience of his new family as he becomes comfortable with his new environment. Your efforts and encouragement will be rewarded by his loving demands for attention. He loves to be petted and even his tummy scratched.
He is subdued but content. He does fine with other cats. Allow him a safe place to hang out but freedom to explore. Make sure he gets to know your face and voice, and that he can trust you. Gandolf is a big strong boy. He can also be playful and funny. He loves to look outside and see what’s going on in the world around him.
Gandolf tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Despite this, many FIV-positive cats can lead healthy lives with proper care. These cats may require extra attention to their overall well-being, including regular veterinary check-ups, a balanced diet, and a safe environment. FIV-positive cats make loving, wonderful companions.
Despite his condition, he is in good health and will thrive with a caring owner who understands the unique needs of FIV-positive cats. Please make sure to research FIV prior to putting in an application for Gandalf.
Gandolf is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative forFeLV and heartworm. He is estimated to be 7 years old.
