My Story

These are just some of the faces that the Friends of the Shelter (Humane Society of Calloway County) has helped!

The Friends of the Shelter Program is a program which assists in spaying and neutering cats or older kittens, and providing needed vet care to a dog or cat. This program subsists totally on Donations and Sponsorships and is always in need of funds.

If you are interested in contributing to this fund, please contact either the Humane Society at [email protected] or call the animal shelter. You can send your donation to Humane Society of Calloway County FOS Program, P.O. Box 764, Murray, Kentucky 42071.

We are very short on funding for this program.

If you would like to sponsor a cat or older kitten, please let us know. $50.00 will help to pay for the cost to neuter a boy, and $60.00 will help to spay a girl. The cost of the spay or neuter of a dog depends upon its weight and can vary, please inquire and we can tell you an estimate.

This program has the combined mission of: 1. It helps increase their adoptability and 2. It assists in helping with pet overpopulation. There aren't enough homes for them all......
