Meet Ernie and Thomas, the ultimate companion cats! These 15 year-old brothers are looking for a home to enjoy their golden years in comfort. This odd couple demands plenty of lap time (sometimes simultaneously) and scratches from their humans, spending the rest of their days curled up in comfy windows and sunbeams or rolling around in catnip. They would be a perfect addition to a home looking for two friendly felines!
Ernie, a ~7 pound brown long-hair, brings smiles to his foster family’s faces as he prances around the house like a fawn. Even at this age he is always up for play with a wand toy. He came to us with severe matting and was shaved, but his hair is growing back nicely. Ernie struggles with IBS - which is currently managed with a special diet- and he has reached the point where he is able to use the litter box successfully. Ernie is initially shy around strangers but warms up quickly. You’ll know you’ve earned his trust when he starts greeting you with his endearing head bonks.
Thomas, a ~12 pound black and white long-hair, is the ideal lap cat and a great alternative to a weighted blanket. He will climb into your lap at every opportunity and immediately begin purring. He is extremely social and welcomes any visiting humans with demands for even more scritches and lap time! Thomas enjoys playing in short bouts but is just as happy to watch his brother pounce on wand toys from nearby.
This special pair of cats is looking for a calm and caring home. They would do best in a family with no other cats so they can monopolize all the lap time possible!
