My Story

POSTED 5/17/08: Emily (formerly known as Gator) is a 13 year old short haired tabby and white spayed and declawed female. Emily was originally found over 12 years ago when she was only a tiny kitten with her momma kitty. The family kept Emily Gator and the momma cat until a few months ago when the momma cat died. Emily, now almost 13 years old, then had to move out into the guest suite all alone because the new human wife has allergies. Poor Emily has been through so many changes and her life has been turned upside down. First she lost her kitty mom and then was isolated from the only human family she has ever known. Her human owner felt bad keeping Emily Gator all alone and turned her over to rescue. She is declawed on the front paws so she will need to be an indoor only girl. She is also a very big girl weighing over 15 lbs. Emily is in need of some love and understanding. She would do well in a small or quiet apartment or with an elderly owner as a companion. Please consider giving Emily Gator a loving retirement home. E-mail [email protected] for an application or stop by PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville on Sat or Sun and speak to our adoption coordinator, Robin. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered, and treated for fleas and other parasites prior to adoption.
