Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact [email protected] to find out about sponsoring or fostering Earl!
You can save animals like Earl by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to [email protected].
Hello everybody, my name is Earl. Somehow I ended up in a shelter in NC. They were nice to me there, but they take in lots and lots of kitties and doggies so they can’t keep us very long. A nice lady in NC asked them not to put me to sleep, whatever that means, but she was afraid it might get mixed up so she took me out of there to make sure I was safe. Now I need a new place to stay in DC so that I am safe and loved.
I am one year old and my owner could not keep me so she took me to the shelter. I am a real snuggle bunny with humans. Even though I just got to my short-term housing in NC yesterday, I am not shy. I am not sure about my canine foster brothers, though - I did go sniff one while he was asleep and they seem to be ignoring me, so I guess it will be okay. I like to be with my temporary foster mom and like to purr. My foster sister kitties are not happy with me here so I need a home of my own. I love to play with toys and am very curious about things. Can you please, please, please consider taking me either as a foster or as your permanent kitty? Thanks!
