Dove - ALL SHE NEEDS IS JUST A LITTLE PATIENCE

Hey, girls, know that feeling when the kids have left the nest and it’s finally “me time”? Well, maybe you’re not there yet, but you may be some day. I raised four rambunctious kittens – as a single mom, mind you – and they have each found their place in the larger world. I’m proud of each one of them, but now it’s time to focus on me. It’s “Dove time” and I’m ready to enjoy my long, undisturbed naps, adult play time, and the undivided attention of my own family. Don’t think I’m an old, retired lady because I still have a lot of pep in my step. But now I can focus that energy on myself, rather than running after the kids and making sure they’re happy and healthy. I can’t wait to relax quietly in the sun and have playtime without having the kids bouncing off me. Maybe I can be on the receiving end of cuddles for once, too. As I started my life on the streets, rescued while pregnant, I am timid and quick to retreat. It is worth noting that I am not feral. Oftentimes when cats are described as shy or timid, people assume they are still feral. That is not me at all. I just am just still a bit scared of humans but given patience I get use to my special human and become social. My foster mom says she knows there is a loving kitty inside that is waiting to blossom in the right environment. Once I trust you, I love back scratches, but I’m a bit shy about being pet on my head. My foster mom thinks once I get settled I will be sleeping beside you and giving you headbutts in no time. I would do well with another confident cat who can teach me the domestic cat ways.
