My Story

MUST BE ADOPTED WITH MY BROTHER DICE! DOB: 3/17/24, medically ready for adoption 7/10/24 My name is Dot. I am a petite, domestic short hair cat with a big heart! I tend to start off a little timid but I warm up fast. I love to play with my brother Dice. He can be a bit of a num num sometimes but I still love him! I kind of pull away a little when people reach down to pet me. People are so big and I am so small that I get a little nervous. Did I mention that I like to play? Do you have a Cat Dancer? No problem we will get you one! I also really like to snuggle! My absolute favorite wind down activity is for you to lay on your back so I can take my rightful place on your chest as your queen! Then I will purr in your face until I get tired then take a short power nap on your chest! FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM Not sure if a particular pet will be the perfect match? Our Foster-to-Adopt program is the way to go FMCA's foster-to-adopt program is essentially a trial period so you can be sure your selection is a good fit for your home and family. This is especially helpful if you have other pets and children or just need more time to make a final decision. FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS The Foster-to-Adoption program requires a fully approved application. Applicant must be 21 years old All applicants must complete an application, undergo a residency and vet verification plus a virtual interview/home visit prior to application approval. We also require a drivers' license, or other form of ID, for each adult in the household. CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION We process adoptions through ShelterLuv. The first step is to complete an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FMCA/Cat If you do not have a specific pet in mind, please list a general description of what you are looking for, i.e. adult female cat or pair of kittens or unknown, etc. under the section titled "Which animals are you interested in? This will allow us to quickly determine if we may have what you are looking for readily available or in one of our foster homes still going through the vetting process. You will hear from us in the next few days. Please note, FMCA is an all-volunteer organization and most of our volunteers work full-time, so please be patient. After an applicant is fully approved and an appropriate pet is selected, we will coordinate pet transfer. We will stay in touch to monitor during the two-or three-week trial period. If it's a go, we will finalize the adoption electronically. During the trial period, we are always available to help with items such as getting pets settled in, pet introductions and ways to help shy pets acclimate. If things don't work out, the pet will return to FMCA. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions regarding the adoption process.
