Dory

Hello there. My name is Dory and I am a young, fun loving and playful girl. I love my adult human friends, but I really want to be an only child. They tell me that I have the most stunning bright green eyes. I am proud of my delightful mixture of joyful energy and sweet affectionate spunk. I am curious and smart - I love all kinds of toys: wand toys, scratching pads, laser toys, crinkle toys, feather toys… I was really happy in my foster home, but sadly I did not receive much adoption interest. So I am back at the shelter, trying to adjust. It is so hard being back in a cage, surrounded by other cats, so please forgive me if I don’t always show my best colors. Gratefully I have been getting regular special attention from my human friends. I not only appreciate fun play-time, but I also love quiet lap-time. While I don’t care to be picked up and carried around, I do love to sleep next to my human friends or relax on their laps. Let me get to know you gradually. In no time I will rub my head against your hand, asking for a pet, to which I will respond with a content, quiet purr. I will also let you know when I had enough petting. It is best to get to know me during my free roaming time out of my cage.
