My Story

Personality types: Professional Cuddler - Affectionate, loves to snuggle and be close. Socialite - Loves to be the center of attention and wants to be involved in everything you do. Dorian is a sweet, sweet girl named for her coat color with some book-geek flare (Dorian Gray!). Dorian was likely a house cat who one day had the misfortune of getting lost, and she ended up finding friends in a colony of kitties in Kingsessing. On a fateful day in March 2024, Dorian was hit by a car and nearly lost her life. Thanks to a quick-thinking neighbor, rescuers were able to get Dorian to an emergency vet hospital in the area where she was stabilized and her recovery could begin. She needed reconstructive surgery on her hips, and her tail had to be amputated. Through it all, her warm personality persevered, making her well-loved by all her doctors and caretakers. After a lengthy recovery, Dorian is ready to, once again, take the world by storm with her warmth and charm! She is agile and affectionate, loves snacks and cuddles, and will sometimes even offer her belly for rubs while making biscuits! She is gregarious and gets along well with cats and dogs, happy to take a back seat and accommodate the feelings of others. Due to her surgery, she likely won't be able to be quite as active as other cats her age, but she has no trouble getting up and down off of beds and getting around the place; veterinarians also recommend that she be brought in for any bowel issues, especially constipation, sooner than other cats. But, other than that, she is cleared for a life in the lap of luxury, giving out cuddles and loud reviews of life! Dorian Gay is about 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: One of our volunteers, who loves Dorian and really wants to see her get a home, has sponsored her adoption fee, so there is cost to adopt this cutie!
