He had been dumped by his previous owners last winter and developed a terrible upper respiratory infection due to not being used to living in the cold. The farm residents nursed him back to health and found out that he was very friendly. They asked for help this summer to trap and neuter all the outdoor cats living at the farm and the trapper asked if Dogwood could be surrendered to ARR. In foster, Dogwood proved to be extremely friendly and very gentle. He is estimated to be 2-4 years old and a neutered male with medium length gray and white fur. He likes to make biscuits and loves to chase string toys all day long. He loves to be petted and brushed and will sit on your lap and just drink up the pets. He gives kisses. He is always careful with his paws, not to put out his claws. He gets along with other cats and would get along with a friendly dog. He has ear tufts that look like he's a bobcat descendant, incredibly handsome whiskers and gorgeous emerald green eyes. He is curious and loves to explore new places. He adjusted easily to his foster home and would easily adjust to his new forever home. Dogwood would love to have a family of his own. Would you consider being his special ONE? Born July 2021. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.
