My Story

For inquiries contact [email protected]. Information and application are at www.staf.org. In Summer of 2014, a mama kitty and five sweet little kittens were found near a dumpster at a local grocery store and brought to STAF by a kind soul. Darling Doc was one of those kittens and is somehow still with us all these years later. This special little lady is a fan favorite among volunteers, and is always eager to greet visitors arriving at the shelter for the day - in fact, you will most often find her front and center in the window, trying to get the first glimpse of who might be stopping in today. Ever grateful for human company, Doc certainly won't just sit around when volunteers come into the room. She is quick to jump down from her perch and put on her "floor routine," which consists of winding around the room and rubbing her head eagerly against anything and anyone who might be within reach. Once this important step is done, she will expertly tip over onto her side and show off her pleasantly plump belly for all to see! This affable girl gets along great with her roommates, though she'd likely be just as happy to be the one and only in her forever home. We think she would be most comfortable in a low-key home without too much commotion, but other than that, she is easy to satisfy. Doc takes a daily pill to prevent the recurrence of some plast bladder stones, for which she is very well behaved and never holds a grudge. Do you have room in your heart and home for Doc to wind her way in?! DOB: 2014. Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org. For inquiries contact [email protected]. All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at [email protected] for more info. on adopting!
