My Story

Dixie and her siblings, Rocky, Bristol, and Radar were born around April 12 and rescued from the rural community of Rio Hondo in South Texas. His litter was at least the second, although there may have been more, that momma kitty Jamila was raising on this small farm. None of the kittens in the previous litter survived, all had disappeared. Although this Momma and kittens were being fed, they were unwanted and not properly taken care of by the homeowner. They were subjected to rural wildlife and street traffic that also put them in danger of disappearing. Dixie is a sweet mostly black tortie who is quiet and somewhat reserved. She gets involved in the action but sometimes sits back until she gets engaged. She gets along with her all of siblings and is looking for her forever home. She would probably do better with a feline sibling. It is unknown how she is with dogs or children. Dixie is available for preadoption. Spayed 7/11 Microchipped Rabies 7/19 Boosters 6/4, 6/28, 7/19 Topical flea preventative 5/5, 6/15, 7/28 Lime sulfur dip 7/10 RW oral meds 7/25-8/1
