Dilly is quiet but sociable; inquisitive; good appetite. She adores treats, and has her special time finding her foster's lap for snuggles and pets. Dilly purrs easily.
Small dogs and bunches of other cats and kittens are part of Dilly's foster home so she is ready for all introductions to new playmates! Small children however have not been around, but her personality is easy-going and a ready for all new adventures.
This kitty has gone through treatment and is a FIP WARRIOR!
Feline Infectious Peritonitis, FIP, is caused by a mutation of the typically benign FCoV. It typically strikes kittens and young cats under 2 years of age, or older cats whose immune system has been stressed or otherwise compromised. Nearly every cat in the world is exposed to the virus, especially those in catteries, shelters, or multi-cat households. Ninety to ninety-five percent of cats who contract the virus will experience a short bout of diarrhea but will pass the virus without further complications. The other 5-10% will have either a genetic predisposition or a weakened immune system that allows the virus to mutate into the virulent form, FIP.
Previously a guaranteed death sentence, FIP is now curable!
All of our foster kitties are raised in foster homes, are up to date on vaccines for their size, spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested and microchipped.
