My Story

Meet Dilly, a content and serene 11-year-old brown tabby & white shorthaired cat with a love for life's simple pleasures. Dilly's laid-back nature is reflected in her preference for cozy and comfortable spots to lounge, where she can bask in the warmth of the sun or snuggle up in a soft blanket. When Dilly first arrived at the APL, she was in poor health. She needed a hernia repaired, treatment for ear mites, a few teeth extracted, and some serious grooming. She was also underweight and needed to put on a few pounds to reach a healthy weight. At the APL, Dilly was able to receive the necessary medical treatment and care to get her back to good health. She has FIV, which means she has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in meeting or adopting her, call the APL at 217-544-7387 or fill out an application at apl-shelter.org!
