Happy Summer! Kitten Season is in full swing again and we need to make room to get Moms and kittens (and older kitties too!) so we can get them fixed and find them homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Remember you save TWO cats lives and make countless more cats & kittens lives better by adopting! When you adopt one cat, it makes room to save another! Win! Win! The kitties thank you too! This is Digby! Digby is domestic short haired grey tabby, neutered male, up to date on his shots, around 11 years old, and available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana 'Ello 'Ello!! I am Digby and I'm a nice easy going chap! I've been at the shelter a few years because I get a little shy around new people but I'm not shy once I know ya!! If I know ya...well we can sit and swap stories for hours, as long as you're giving me some nice pets! I probably would do best in quiet home, I will need a little patience and maybe some nice kitty siblings to show me I'm safe but after that let's watch some football (not your American Football.. although I don't mind that either!) and get down to it! I'm ready to have a home so I can play, get pets and cuddle! Oh! And I LOVE wet food too!! If you could just give me a home and the chance to be a kittie, you'll be gobsmacked at what a good bloke I am! I'm in the free roaming cat room at the shelter and I get on well with the other kitties, so I would be good with a playful resident cat with the proper introduction. I probably would do best in a home without young kids or dogs since I'm not familiar with those kinds. If you're looking for your best mate and loving boy to bring home...you're looking for me! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months. Please, only apply if you are an experienced cat owner and have patience. Thank you!
