Derry

It's me, ABC Derry. That's "Another Black Cat" Derry. Sigh . . . So many of us that sometimes it's hard to get your attention. Of course, I'm used to being ignored. I'm a two-year-old stray who feels lucky just to be off the street. As you can see, I have a few scars on my nose from trying to protect myself. It's a rough world out there!

But now that I'm at CAT, I keep hearing about this wonderful place called "home". There's no place like it, I've been told. It has people in it who love cats, who might love one particular stray cat, who even might think a black cat named Derry is the most special thing ever! Do you think it's just a rumor, or a myth, like Santa Claus? Gosh, I hope not. I'm going to keep on believing that somewhere, there's a "home", a magical place, just for me.
