Derek (Bonded with Minnie)

Meet Minnie & Derek! One look at their pictures and it’s clear why we couldn’t bear to separate this pair! Minnie is sweet, snuggly, and loves to play. She has a slight haze in her right eye due to a problem in its development, but it has no significant impact on her vision or overall health and happiness. She keeps a curious, yet cautious distance from her foster family’s dogs and would do well with a dog who will give her some space. Derek is a confident kitten who loves to explore and play. He’s an absolute snuggle bug and melts into your arms. The vet initially told us that he is blind due to a malformation in his eyes. There was no sign of injury, infection, or pain and Derek isn’t bothered in the least! After observing him for several months, it seems he does have some limited vision. He does an excellent job using the litter box and finding his food & water. He’ll even chase a toy or light if it’s near enough. These two will make a wonderful addition to a special home! Both Estimated to be born March 2023. --- All of our kittens are currently in Foster Homes. They are not at our facility. Adoption counselors can arrange for you to meet the kittens once your application is approved. Kittens will be pre-adopted pending spay/neuter and may not be available for a few weeks. Deposits will only be accepted once an application has been approved and meetings have taken place. Deposits made PRIOR to approval are not refundable and will NOT hold a kitty for you. Kittens through 6 months $125 or 2 for $200; Kitties over 6 months $100 or 2 for $150. --- Our Adoptable Kittens ARE NOT FERAL. We take them from the streets at a young age, and some are feral at the time of rescue. However, we spend many hours taming, socializing, and acclimating them to indoor life as a pet cat. They are currently friendly, healthy, and playful kittens who are just waiting for their special someone to take them home.
