My Story

Delilah an enchanting feline with a heart as resilient as her playful spirit may just be the cat you've been waiting for. Delilah is a special girl living life to the fullest despite having moderate cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) also known as wobbly cat syndrome. Cats with CH are born with an underdeveloped cerebellum in the brain. The cerebellum helps cats with coordination and other automatic body movements so cats with CH like Delilah wobble as they go about their daily tasks. Delilah is a master of adapting though. You just need to be sure to have plenty of carpet and rugs and block access to stairs and she will thrive. This sweet girl is not defined by her condition; instead Delilah embraces every moment with a zest for playfulness that sets her apart. Her lively antics are a testament to her wonderful spirit bringing joy to those around her. She also enjoys the simple pleasures of being petted cherishing the warmth and affection that a gentle touch brings. If you're ready to open your home to a special girl with a resilient nature Delilah is the perfect companion ready to fill your house with love laughter and the joy that comes from embracing life with an open heart. She has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans.
