He was well-loved in his previous home, but the family's daughter developed an allergy to cats, forcing them to part with him. The father was very sad to say goodbye. When DaVinci first arrived at my home, he was shy and spent much of the first week under my bed. Gradually, he began to explore, and we loved watching the paws reaching under the door. This week, DaVinci has fully integrated with my two resident cats and dog. He runs up and down the stairs and seeks attention from me. At night, he has started to move closer to me while sleeping. DaVinci is cautious around strangers and doesn't like being picked up but enjoys head and ear pets. He comes when called and asks for pets, though he sometimes moves away if approached uninvited. His favorite toy is a soft turtle, but he has also taken a liking to my crocheted octopus. When I call DaVinci, he responds with a squeaky little meow.
