From the moment Miss Dashka joined our house, she has truly lived up to her name as a dainty lady. Dashka is very comfortable around people – she will even walk right up to strangers to say hello. Dashka isn’t fazed by household noise, and she likes being around people. She is a very social cat who eagerly welcomes pats. Dashka is estimated to be around 3-4 years old, and she is a tiny lady who did a wonderful job raising her kittens, and she is now looking for her forever home where she can be pampered like the queen she is! Dashka gets along well with her foster family’s large dog, however she does not get along well with the resident cats. Her foster mom believes that with a proper introduction she could still get along with friendly cats. Dashka is highly food motivated, and she is one smart lady who quickly figured out how to open doors to escape the kitten room! She would do well with an active family who will offer enrichment activities to keep her mentally stimulated. Her favourite toy is the dangly worm wand which she will happily play with as long as you will! Miss Dashka is a very vocal cat who will let you know immediately when you are late with meals – and she will let her displeasure be known with many chirps and meows. Like a lot of cats, Dashka doesn’t enjoy being carried, but you can pick her up. She has no problems getting her dainty nails trimmed – as long as you’re offering a Churu or other treat during the process. Miss Dashka is not a lap cat, but she will happily sit in the room near you, and she is a comfortable presence near her foster mom for much of the day. Her vocalizations increase when she’s alone or stressed so an environment where someone is home for at least part of the day would be an ideal home environment.
