My Story

Meet Darcy! Darcy is an incredibly affectionate cat who is always ready to cuddle and keep you great company. Darcy loves snuggling up for a nap, making her the perfect companion for quiet moments. As a young cat, roughly 9 months old, she's also very playful and energetic, always eager to entertain herself and you with a variety of toys. One of her favorite pastimes is sitting by the window, where she enjoys watching the world go by. Darcy is wonderfully talkative, engaging in conversations and filling your home with her charming chatter. With her perfect blend of affection, playfulness, and curiosity, Darcy is the amazing cat you've been looking for and is ready to become a cherished member of your family. Currently in foster care in Hawthorne. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
