Hello. A little history -- Ms Tana had been trapping, working on 2 different colonies of cats in one neighborhood in Sparta, TN. She had almost all the kitties TNvR'ed when all of a sudden, I started showing up, totally new to the area. I was obviously an intact tomcat, but I was not aggressive like a lot of them. I was not trying to chase all the females and fight with all the other males. I really just wanted a little relief from the struggles of outdoor life. I just wanted some fresh water and easy meals I could count on. So, I found a house that provided that and cautiously started making routine appearances and trying to fit in. Ms Tana was still trying to trap the last few kitties in the area who had not been done yet, when I innocently walked up, looking to see if there was food in the bowls outside. There wasn't, but I smelled some good food somewhere close. I found it outside the trap, ate that and wanted more, so I went into the trap, and was securely caught. I was really upset and scared, so I was acting as mean and tough as I could. I got transported to a clinic where I was neutered and vaccinated. I had several fight wounds, some weepy/draining from some of them, nasal congestion, diarrhea, and my 3rd eyelids showing a lot which meant I did not feel good at all. So, the vet gave me a long acting antibiotic injection, and Ms Tana decided to keep me a while to make sure I was improving. She kept me in one of those kitty condo cages with 3 shelves, and I had a litterbox, water and food, and a soft hideaway bed. After a while, I got more and more comfortable and realized that even though in a cage, life was definitely better than being outside scrounging and struggling to survive every day. I finally decided I like this lady, Ms Tana, taking care of me. I always looked forward to mealtimes, Ms Tana talking to me, and even decided to finally let her pet me. Now I love me some petting time. I am pretty sure I could get used to being someone's cherished feline companion. I never liked the tomcat image since fighting is not my true nature. I'm a gentle soul, a little more mature, and I simply long to live in peace and harmony, safely indoors with someone who loves me furever. Is that you? Will you give me the oppurrtunity to be your kitty man cherished family member? I have suffered a lot of hard knocks, survived, and have earned the easy, simple, good life with quality time tlc with kind humans from now on please. Update: Now I am also combo tested negative and microchipped because I am turning more and more into a social loverboy!
