Feel free to text the event coordinator to confirm a specific dog's attendance: 703-447-4766 Meet Squeaks - Squeaks was born on March 13, 2024. Squeaks is a bit timid and shy of new people and relies on his brother, Mittens for support. Squeaks is still very young and with time and patience he will be able to build up his confidence. Once he is comfortable, he will come be near his people. Squeaks likes other cats and is young enough to learn to live with dogs who are cat friendly. Squeaks will need to go to a forever home with his brother Mittens. Squeaks would do best in a home where someone was around a good portion of the day to help him overcome his shyness. Kittens inherently do best in pairs. This kitten has age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped and will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The adoption fee for this kitten is $150, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the kitten is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to help you to find a great match). Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** **You must be at least 25 years old to adopt an animal from Canines & Kitties Rescue.** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. Cats adopted through Canines & Kitties Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). *If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application. *
