Daisy is a gorgeous, 5yr old girl who was very upset when she lost the only owner she knew. She lived with an elderly woman and wasn’t around other people or animals. When she was surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her, she had to stay at PetSmart and she didn’t show well. She would hiss and growl and just wanted to hide away from everyone. Who could blame her? She was terrified. After many months, Daisy has finally found a foster home and has made immediate progress!! She’s already walking around, checking things out, and accepting love and affection. She will need a patient home that will let her slowly adjust to a new family. Daisy is doing well with other cats and dogs given time to get acquainted
••• What her foster wrote about Daisy:
We brought her home as a foster on September 30th after being in the PetSmart since March. She is no longer the frightened girl at the store. Daisy blossomed immediately after being away from the noise and bright lights. Within 24 hours, she was no longer hiding and was engaging with us and exploring the house. I am so proud of her. She particularly enjoys the early evenings after the work day and naps are done. She will saunter into the living room, talking to us about her day, flipping her tail to emphasize important parts, making sure we are aware of the birds watching the house. She encourages our participation with nuzzles, talking, and leg rubs. She has participated in a few conference calls, meowing in the background and telling the boss to be nice before finding a sunny spot to keep track of the outside. Daisy and my senior chihuahua have a mutual treat agreement that if one walks away, the other can have it. Daisy will look over her shoulder as Bailey cleans up for her. They both share the house, my bedroom, and both humans easily. She is such a sweet, confident lady who is making everyone proud!
