My Story

Crater was brought to us with her two sisters at just a few hours old. She arrived with severe tissue damage from a maggot infestation. Yep, you read that right. All three defeated ALL odds and healed miraculously well, but Crater has some scarring on her bottom that presents itself in certain ways. Overall, she is hardly different from any other cat, but she can have a few special care requirements to keep in mind. Both of her sisters were adopted, and Crater is patiently awaiting her forever. Personality: Despite facing such massive challenges, Crater is a remarkably affectionate and snuggly young adult. Her favorite activities include curling up in your lap for a cozy nap, giving numerous kisses (yes - kisses!), and making sure you know she is nearby and craving attention. She's a master at turning any day into a brighter one with her purrs and cuddles. She LOVES to play with little puff balls and chase wand toys. Special Care: Crater sometimes requires a spa day. You see, her bottom doesn’t always work quite right, especially if given a new food or treat that upsets her tummy. She doesn’t need baths often if her diet is consistent and if she receives her once-daily fiber sprinkle! Her situation requires a bath every few months or so, as needed. Her resilience and positive attitude shine through even during bath time, making it a bonding experience. She purrs the entire duration, begs for pets, and even plays with toys. Ideal Home: Crater would thrive in a loving and patient home where her adopters understand her situation and the importance of her occasional special care requirements. She can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up, she's a true social butterfly with known and new folks alike. She would mesh well with kiddos who are gentle. Crater would flourish in a home with either a human who stays home a lot of the time or in a home where she has a cat to keep her company while the humans are gone. She can get lonely if left alone for a bit. Crater is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready to embark on a new chapter of her life filled with love and many, many kisses.
