Yzma is named after the character in The Emperor's New Groove (a must-watch if you haven't seen it) and, like the character, is an older sophisticated lady. Born November 7, 2013, Yzma has always been a sweet kitty. When she was six, she was rehomed to her second family because her dog brothers were pestering her. She has loved her second home with four human sisters! Yzma is a good kitty who always uses the litter box, never scratches furniture or people, and mostly stays off the furniture. She enjoys basking in the sunlight, chasing sun rays, watching birds from the window, and sleeping a lot. Favorite oddities about her are that she loves to follow her person into the bathroom and she likes to sleep on top of shoes. Yzma spent most of her life as an indoor-outdoor cat but never came home one cold night in November 2023. Fast forward two months later, and she was found 15-minutes and a free-way ride later outside an apartment complex digging around a dumpster looking for food. Because of her chip, we were notified when she was brought into a care center. She had lost half her weight but was otherwise healthy. She has been nothing but happy since being reunited with her family. Yzma loves to stay near her person and is a good companion. She enjoys being petted and scratched behind the ears, but isn't really a snuggler. She really likes to sleep at your feet and somehow always ends up plopping herself on whatever you are working on - a puzzle, a project, or paperwork - because she wants to be close to you while you are working. She was vaccinated for Rabies and FVRCP in February 2024 and is due for more vaccines.
