You can save animals like Cosmos by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. Cosmos is the most awesome 6-year old cat. He is people and cat friendly and looks into your eyes with the cutest expressions. He is very affectionate, good with his litterbox and very social. Cosmos had the misfortune of having his owner die last week, and no one stepped up. Now he is sitting at the shelter, and its not a no kill shelter. So what's the problem you say? Well the problem is that Cosmos has Cardiomyopathy. He is totally stable and takes one pill. He has a moderate case and could go on to live many wonderful years. He may need an echo annually, or at least every 18 months. I spoke to the cardiologist today and he said Cosmos has a pretty treatable stable case but it is a condition with many unknowns. Could you be the person willing to give this boy some fabulous years be they few or many? He is neutered, up to date on shots and tested negative for FIV and FELV. Please consider this beautiful boy.
