Meet Sweet Cordorouy. He was rescued from a situation in an abandoned apartment with 29 cats and kittens ! All local shelters were contacted to see if any could help out by taking in any of them so they wouldn't all have to be euthanized. Our shelter took in Cordurouy & his sister. Even though we had no room, we set up a couple of crates in a small closet area. His sister has been adopted but Cordurouy is still waiting patiently in his crate for his special angel to arrive. He is 5 months and very cute with big white mittens and extra thumbs. Cordurouy is very sweet but is still timid and will need extra TLC. He purrs when you pet him but he also shakes at the same time...poor thing :-(
It doesn't help being an earshot away from the loud barking shelter dogs and in the same closet area as the water pump that is constantly turning on..trust me it's loud ! It's not glamorous but at least he maybe has a chance at a real life with love now.
Cordurouy is also partially blind in one eye from an infection that went untreated when he was a baby. But he does not know any different and will have no problem getting around. He would not be good with small children or in chaotic homes but he would be a great companion to another young cat or he can be your one and only spoiled baby.
Cordurouy has been neutered, vaccinated, deflead, dewormed and tested negative for FIV/FELV $40 adoption donation requested to help offset his vet bill. Email [email protected].. include in the email if you have experience with timid cats..We need to make sure he gets into the right home where he will thrive and be happy :-)
