Cookie

Cookie is a domestic short haired, gray tabby, spayed female cat with an estimated date of birth of late April 2021. Cookie was live trapped from a managed cat colony in the Detroit Lakes, MN area in late fall 2021 before the brutal upper Midwest winter and snowstorms. Cookie is a likely half sibling or first cousin to fellow colony mates Punkin, Nutella and Zoey. This group of cats are affectionately referred to as the "colony tabbies", and Cookie can easily be adopted with either of these colony mates if looking to adopt a pair of adult cats. Adoption as the only pet in the household will also be considered. Cookie is slightly wary of new people so an adopter will need patience and understanding during the transition to a new home. She is friendly and affectionate on her terms and her timetable. Cookie will greet you at the door wanting pets, and as a reminder to serve up her plate of canned pate'. Cookie is very food and treat motivated, and that is one way to win her heart with her favorite treats. Spayed; current on vaccinations; litter box trained; microchipped; and negative for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. Unknown with dogs or children.
