My Story

Cody is a sweet 5-month-old kitten (2/14/24) looking for his forever home. He is a big boy, build like a linebacker—double the weight of his female sibling and the two other male kittens in the home. This guy is so friendly! He loves hanging out with the two adult male cats in the home; you can see him watching them and copying their behavior (he even sits with paws crossed just like them), while following them around the house. Cody loves to wrestle, so he will need to go to a home with a resident cat who is active and enjoys some good-natured, rough-and-tumble behavior. (He has learned to be gentle with the smaller kittens.) He also likes to cuddle with his humans a couple of times a day and will let you know by climbing on your lap, purring and snuggling in your neck. His cuddles are worth the wait! This guy also loves fishing poles and will drag them around the house. He was just introduced to the laser and is now a big fan of chasing it around. He likes to eat his wet food when he wakes up and around dinner time. Cody takes his time letting humans into his space, but once you are in, it is well worth the wait! He watches everything that goes on in the house. This lovable boy is really smart; you can see the intelligence in his eyes. He responds well to his humans when they call him and redirect, if needed. This gentle giant currently lives in a townhome with two adults, a puggle, two resident cats and three kittens (one sibling and two other kittens). He does great with other cats and would probably do fine with a cat-friendly dog who doesn’t chase him. He hasn’t met any children yet. Cody's ideal home would be with an active young resident cat who enjoys active play and exploring. He would also do well following around any older cats in the home—although he doesn’t snuggle with other cats when he sleeps, he does enjoy sitting nearby and looking out the window with them. His people should enjoy getting lots of playtime with him, as well as letting him come to them for frequent snuggles. If you’re ready to let this loving, lovable big boy into your life, please consider adopting Cody. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
