When Coconut was rescued from the streets, she was dirty, hungry, and as round as, well…a coconut! Soon after she arrived at ABC she gave birth to four kittens, then adopted FIVE MORE abandoned newborn kittens! Needless to say, she was one busy mama taking care of these babies – Mango, Strawberry, Papaya, Cobbler, Peppermint, Kiwi, Cherry, Peaches, and Sherbet. All the kittens have been adopted and Coconut is ready for her furever home. Coconut likes attention and is playful when she feels like it. When she doesn’t want to be touched, she will let you know with a hiss as a warning... however, she has never followed thru with that warning! She would really like to be the only queen of her castle, but she can co-exist with another cat who will give her space. She needs a home without small children because sometimes she just wants to be left alone. However, she knows her audience and is very gentle with older kids who can see when she is done interacting. This quirky gal makes us laugh with her antics because she really is a sweet cat! Coconut is a hero for all the kittens that she saved. She deserves a home where she can be the queen.
