You can save animals like Clancy by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click

Clancy is a handsome orange tabby. He was living a great life on the Eastern shore until his owners moved and decided he didn't need to go with them. Unfortuantely for him there is no county shelter for cats, so his options were either to be left to fend for himself as a stray or to be put to sleep immediately at the local dog control facility. His angel, a local rescuer, was watching out for him and took him in. Clancy is about 3 years old, and very loving and Wonderful as described by his rescuer. He is neutered and front declawed. Clancy is UTD on vaccinations and negative for FIV/FeLV. Clancy is a very mellow cat and has gotten along with every kitty he has met so far. He loves people and enjoys interacting and playing with them. He likes cuddles and being brushed. Clancy enjoys the company of other cats but doesn't engage actively in play but occasionally. He would be the perfect companion for a playful or mellow kitty. He has had limited exposure to dogs but since he is such a sweetie we think he would do fine. He has also been patient with all the children he has come in contact with, letting them carry him around and love on him..
