Christie

Christie is in need of a very special adopter. She's had several changes to her life recently that have her very stressed. She needs a quiet home and patient adopter to allow her to decompress. Until recently, she had a home and a cat companion, but life changes forced her " mom" to return both to Freedom Hearts Animal Rescue. Both Christie and her feline friend were very stressed by the change, but both eventually settled into their foster home. Christie loved being stroked and would stretch out on the bed for full body pets. Christie went into Petsmart hoping to get some attention, but she found being in the store overwhelming. She came back to her foster home but now without her friend who had adopted. So many changes in such a short time have been hard on her. She truly wants to be loved, you can see it in her eyes and her demeanor...but then uncertainty and stress sets in and she reacts negatively. It might be a hiss or a swat, although she never really tries to hurt you. She needs time to learn to trust again. Hopefully a hero steps up for her.
