Our rescues mean a lot to the vet staff and DunRoamin' volunteers. We do everything we can to find the perfect homes for these pets, who are being given a second chance at a happy life. Chowder came to DunRoamin' from the Woodstock area on April 29, 2024 as a stray who had been hanging around for about two weeks. Her rescuer noticed that she was very skinny and was missing fur from her hind end, so she came to us for help. Chowder was determined to be about one year old, having been born about April 29, 2023. She was underweight and had most probably recently finished nursing kittens. Her hair loss was due to flea allergy dermatitis, which is just what it says: an allergy to fleas. She was immediately treated for all parasites and she was spayed and tested for FIV and FeLV for which she tested negative. She will be ready for a new home around the end of May, 2024 and is anxious to find a family who will take her in so she will be safe, warm, loved, and not have to have more babies. Chowder is a very loving little girl who has most probably been around people due to her beautiful personality. If you are interested in this little one, please give us a call!
