CHIE

Female 9 or 10 years old Meet Chie, an adorable, mature cat. Her stumpy little tail wiggles and waggles as she goes about her happy cat life. Chie is not a lap cat but wants to be near you when you are sitting or watching TV. She sheds very little and has discovered that being brushed daily can be a very pleasant experience. She will plop down on the floor in a full stretched out position to communicate to you that it’s time for a brushing. Chie knows her name and will come running when called. She greets visitors in a friendly manner usually by brushing up against their legs. Chie is normally very quiet, but on occasion she will use her voice to express herself with a wide range of vocalizations. She loves to sit on the back of the sofa and watch the birds in the backyard. Sudden bursts of energy develop into playtime as she races around the house. Her favorite play things are string toys, even just a shoelace, and a ball of yarn that she uses as a kicker. She has good litter box habits and uses her scratching post. Chie is particularly fond of men, although she also gets along well with women. She adapts quickly to new situations and might benefit from a home that provides some activity and stimulation as long as it's not overwhelming. Chie is a healthy senior cat. Her short tail is the result of an amputation following an unknown trauma. She has also had recent dental work. Chie has been spayed, tattooed, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and is up to date on vaccinations. Her medical records will accompany her upon adoption.
