Cheddar (FCID# 6/06/2024 - 30 Trainer)

Cuddle-bug!!! Cheddar is a lovable, gentle boy with a sweet disposition who would make a great companion cat. He enjoys being petted and likes to cuddle up next to you. At my house, he sleeps cuddled next to me at night. He is very laid back and doesn't seem to mind other cats once introduced properly. He's also very good about using the sisal scratching post and not the furniture, when he scratches at all. Cheddar does have clogged tear ducts, probably from previous untreated eye infections as a stray, which means his eyes might need to be wiped occasionally. He also has harmless ear cysts that need regular cleaning to keep him comfortable and prevent infection, easily done at home with a special solution. He's a real sweetheart and would love nothing more than to be in a home environment with you! I believe he would be fine around young children (we don't have any). He's so sweet and gentle and loving! He's also very receptive with anyone who goes into the room to see him. Cheddar loves to chase toys that you pull on a string (or just chase the string itself!) or even bat at toys hovered above him on a string. With dogs, I think, judging from his personality, he would be OK with dogs once introduced properly. In one photo, when Cheddar was at our Trainer, PA clnic/shelter, he appears to be whispering a plan to buddy Zorro (FCID# 06/05/2024 - 15, now at our Millsboro PetSmart adoption center) to sneak up behind their human friend.
