My Story

Charlie was a stray who had four adorable kittens. She was a great mom and raised very sweet kitties and now needs a home of her own. She is still shy, but she is very sweet. She loves to be petted and brushed. Poor Charlie may be blind in one eye because of a previous eye trauma. She would do best in a quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Charlie has tested positive for FIV. Most FIV+ cats can be adopted and live with FIV-negative cats with very little risk of transmitting the disease. Because FIV is only transmitted through bite wounds, a non-aggressive FIV+ cat would not put other cats at risk. FIV is not a death sentence. However, sensible precatuions should be taken. Please speak with someone at the shelter or your vet for more information on FIV and see if you can give sweet Charlie a home.
