My Story

Hello! My name is Cersei. Truth be told, I've had a rough time lately and I need to find a family who will continue working with me on my insecurities. I was abandoned outside a pet store, and it was originally suspected that I was pregnant but an exam revealed I had recently given birth. I was separated from my babies too soon with no idea what happened to them and have been fearful of letting my guard down ever since. When I first came into foster care I would stalk people around my home and attack unexpectedly. My foster lady has spent many months working with me to help me learn to feel safe again. For long term success I need an owner (or two) who will be patient with me while I settle into my new home, who will follow my affection preferences, and who will understand if I respond to something negatively. After disengaging and allowing me to calm down, I need you to come back and accept my apology so I know you still care about me. That said, once I trust you I am very loving! I will insist you pet my cheeks and my chin all day long and knead biscuits on your fuzzy lap blankets all evening. I'm very into snacks but I haven't exhibited any food aggression! My favorite play activities include running through tunnels and chasing the laser pointer. My transition may be difficult but if you're the type of cat lover who is educated in behavior training and not afraid of a bite or two I am worth the effort. Given the chance I will love you fiercely! Cersei is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for their age.
